Come july 1st could be either a boom or bust line for augmented reality (AR) online games and brick-and-mortar businesses.
Four major AR games are usually coming that could create more location-based marketing opportunities the way Poké wednesday GO did in 2016: Ghostbusters World; Harry Potter: Wizards Combine; Jurassic World Alive and The Strolling Dead: Our World.
Those games are getting major marketing assistance, including visibility from Google, in whose ARCore toolkit was used to create three out of four of the video games. But is the market getting inundated with too many games at once?
