Donald Trump was elected president based in component on his commitment to slash rules on American business. And he’ s kept that promise, when he points out frequently.

Considering that focus, how could he have got missed the General Data Protection Legislation ( GDPR ), the European Union’ t overzealous attempt to protect the personal privacy of its citizens?

This particular regulation, which goes into effect in late May, applies to  European Economic Region   residents, no matter where these people live, and it would impose onerous fines upon companies not complying. Sovereignty and “ America First” are nowhere to be found in GDPR discussions.
