Startup MeetEdgar provides a social media publishing application that will lets small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs) create, schedule and post their marketing posts to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and, soon, Instagram and Pinterest.
This week, the company — a virtual firm that is nominally based in Austin, Texas — is certainly releasing a new feature that immediately pulls out text from related online articles to generate up to 4 additional posts. MeetEdgar says that will, while some enterprise-focused social tools provide a similar capability, to its information this is the first time it’ s readily available for SMBs.
In a common use case of the new function, director of marketing Nancy Rothman told me, a small bakery might compose and schedule multiple posts regarding, say, its cookies, cakes plus specialty items.
