MoPub partners with Pixalate, DoubleVerify in order to fight in-app ad fraud

MoPub announced Tuesday it is partnering with Pixalate and DoubleVerify in reducing invalid traffic (IVT) and in-app ad fraud on the Twitter-owned cellular ad exchange. Pixalate and DoubleVerify are accredited by the Media Ranking Council (MRC) as mobile IVT-management vendors.

As investment within mobile advertising has taken off, therefore have opportunities for ad scams. In-app ad fraud was approximated to have cost the industry nearly $5 billion in 2018. MoPub’ h integrations with Pixelate and DoubleVerify are aimed at vetting traffic indicators and blocking invalid bid demands in real-time, pre-bid and examining post-bid activity to help publishers enhance their traffic quality.
