Google offers issued new ID requirements for all of us political advertisers, according to the company blog post on Thursday. The particular post was attributed to Kent Master, a Google senior vice leader.
Google said it will eventually now require political advertisers to get a government-issued ID and other information to verify they are US citizens or lawful long lasting residents. The new rules also include the requirement to clearly disclose who might be paying for the ad.
