Tweets: A bug may have sent several direct messages to business accounts developers

Upon Friday, Twitter began alerting several users that their direct text messages or protected tweets may have been delivered to Twitter developers who were not certified to receive them due to a bug determined nearly two weeks ago. The company states it identified the bug upon Monday, September 10.

What happened? Within a developer observe posted Friday, Tweets said it found an irritate in its Account Activity API, that allows registered developers to build tools to back up business communications with customers. The business says the bug only impacted user communications with business balances.

In a message in order to users, the company said one or more of the direct messages or protected twitter posts to Twitter developers due to the pest, which had persisted since Might 2017.
