Moltin launches first web-based self-checkout in apparel retailer Stance

Self-checkout from brick-and-mortar stores has been a thing for a long time. But it has required that customers down load an app or use the store’ s kiosks.

Boston-based e-commerce provider Moltin has now released with clothing retailer Stance the actual companies said is the first example of a retailer offering a self-checkout solution that is entirely web-based.

In this case, CEO Jamus Driscoll told me, a progressive web app on the Stance site utilizes Moltin’ s commerce platform, which convey with Stance’ s inventory administration, existing payment processing and other backend platforms.
